Execution Rock Lighthouse

On your sailing cruise into Long Island Sound from New York City, you will see Execution Rock. It was so named because in the early 18th Century, condemned prisoners were chained here and slowly drowned by the incoming tides.  A lighthouse was established here in 1850.
